1.8km 9:04 (NOMAN Ibiza-Barcelona, run session 10a)

*1 minute rest*

11.25km 1:00:24 (NOMAN Ibiza-Barcelona, run session 10b)

I didn’t particularly feel like running this morning but Gabrielle really wanted to get out and win back a Strava CR that she lost a few days ago – she’s not competitive though! So, reluctantly at first I laced up and we headed out. I asked how far Gabs might like to go and jokingly threw out a 10 miler and let it sit in the air – she grabbed it and said ‘Yeah, cool let’s do that’ with a big smile!

Well, after hitting the CR section hard after a gentle 1.1km warm-up I felt great and ready to put the hammer down a little. Not so much the case for Gabs so we dropped into what for me is a really comfortable rhythm and went out onto a fairly hilly route that I had planned in my mind. It gave us the option of turning for home and cutting short and around the 6.5km mark if one of us, or both of us didn’t quite feel up to the 10 miles…as you can see, we turned for home at the 6.5km mark! Gabrielle ran for the door at 8.5km but I decided to take an extra loop around the block to make it 11.25km for the day.

Time for an omelette now I think and then it’s off into London for my pre-race party!

Hope everyone is enjoying the start to their weekend.

Peace Out x
