5.15km 21:19 (Ox Ultra 56k, session 18)

I decided to run around the block on the road tonight and it took some effort to get the motivation to get moving at all! Therefore I’m pretty pleased with a sub 21:00 5km after a month of ups and downs on the training front thanks to a virus. I didn’t look at my watch until I’d finish the run so I was very surprised to see my Strava data showing a nice sequence f 4:07 klicks  – 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Aside from that I don’t know what to say at the moment. My body feels strong but my mind does not seem to be keen on running these past few days so I suppose I should just kick back and relax until the Ox Ultra on Sunday – what will be, will be and I usually run my best in races…

My final training run will be with Gabrielle on Friday and I think that will be a nice relaxing one for both us before driving down to Wiltshire on Saturday morning.
