Review: Injinji Lightweight Performance 2.0 socks

Injinji Lightweight Performance 2.0 socks

I love these socks! Since I’ve started to wear them for road running I have not had one single blister. These particular Injinji are meant to be a baselayer for trail running but are light enough and strong enough to use as standalones on road runs. I used to have a problem with perpetual blistering on the big toe of my right foot and the underside of the big toe on my left foot but since using these socks they have had the chance to heal up properly and have not reformed at all. I’ve taken the socks out on 3x1km intervals, 8km wave tempo runs and on 14 and 18km steady progression sessions all in temperatures ranging from 20°C (68°F) to 27°C (80°F) without the slightest hint of discomfort!

If you’ve never used Injinji socks before it can take a couple of runs to gets used to the sensation of having your toes separated by fabric but after a while the sensation fades and I personally found that my feet felt less sweaty and more free to move within the toe box of all the shoes I’ve tried these with. There really isn’t too much else to say, after all, these are essentially just lightweight socks that separate the toes!
