Yeah baby! I’m back in the running game after being out of action, off the roads and trails since January 1st. It feels so good to have got in a double run – not the fastest of times but my first run was during rush hour through some of the busiest parts of London and therefore I’d say it is actually quite an impressive time. By the time I’d got off the train to start my second run the wind had picked up, the rain was falling pretty hard and I chose to run the 8km instead of 6km route home because, well, why make it easier and shorter when you’re enjoying yourself – nothing worth doing should be easy!

It feels amazing sitting here with my legs feeling the effort, my Invo8  Road X233 drying in the airing cupboard along with my beanie cap, gloves and shorts and the knowledge that I’ve earned my carbs and proteins tonight! I’m feeling a little too, I can’t find the right word, er, joyous [?!] to sit here much longer and write much more so that’ll be it for today’s installment – I’m away to shower and then cook up some bulgur wheat, mushrooms and broccoli!
